Congratulations on your engagement!! Now that your wedding's official it's time to share the news with your family and friends.
Engagement photos are a fun and beautiful way to spread the exciting news that you're getting married, as well as have some incredible images for your wedding website, Save the Dates, guest book, table decor for your wedding and more!
Since most people typically aren't driving around the DFW metroplex looking for the perfect, romantic place to take their Dallas engagement pictures, one of the most common questions I get asked is: "What places can I take engagement pictures near me?"
Well, you're in luck! If you live in the DFW metroplex I've got a some incredible options for romantic engagement pictures in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for every couple’s style...
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve (Plano)
Arbor Hills is a gorgeous 200 acre preserve with beautiful fields and small charming hills. It is my favorite spot to shoot a sunrise engagement photoshoot, because the light is always on point and hits between the trees. It’s location in central Plano makes it really accessible to the DFW metroplex, but be warned you'll need to give yourself an extra 15-20 minutes to park as the parking lot can be overflowing on weekends.
Adriatica Village (McKinney)
The Adriatica Village is such a hidden gem, it will make people wonder if you traveled to Europe for your engagement session. ;) It has gorgeous cobblestone walkways and architecture that lends itself to classy and upscale vibes. It is definitely a stand out if you are looking for a location only locals tend to take advantage of.
White Rock Lake (Dallas)
The White Rock Lake is a classic location for engagement photoshoots. Its centralized DFW location makes it popular and accessible. It is so versatile with beautiful fields, docks, bridges, and tall trees that display the most beautiful colors during the fall!
Vitruvian Park (Addison)
This beautifully maintained park rests in downtown Addison. With tree-lined walking paths, and a wide creek that cuts through the park it makes such a gorgeous background for engagement photos. For a more industrial look we can even take some fun pictures on the large red bridge that crosses the creek in front of the downtown area.
Dallas Arts District - Winspear Opera House
I’ve only shot engagements at the Winspear Opera House once, but it was so gorgeous I can't wait to make it back again! The Winspear is perfect for a more formal look, and it is so close to the Klyde Warren park that it’s an easy way to get two different looks in a small amount of time.
FortWorth Stockyard + Cactus & Water Garden
The Fort Worth Stockyards might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a romantic engagement photoshoot, but I promise you that the cobblestone streets, beautiful brick facades and winding creek will take your breath away.
Katie's Woods (Grapevine)
This little oasis is SO unique! With its gorgeous winding trail, red rocks, and boat dock it’s seriously so amazing. It's one of my favorite hidden spots to take couples for their engagement photoshoot!
Other romantic places to take Dallas engagement pictures:
-Stone Creek Park (Flower Mound, TX) -Stem and Light Greenhouse (Waxahachie, TX)
-Prairie Creek Park (Richardson, TX)
-Mandalay Canal Walk at Las Colinas (Irving, TX)
-Arlington Hall at Turtle Creek Park (Dallas, TX)
Honestly there are so many beautiful and romantic locations around the Dallas-FortWorth Metroplex to take your engagement photos. Some even I haven't had the pleasure of visiting yet!
No matter where you decide to take your engagement pictures I promise you that the memories you make during your Engagement Photoshoot will make that location special and a fun romantic spot you'll want to visit again and again.
